What about a mentor program where sucessful local artists help out emerging artists and high school/college students who are thinking about a career in the arts? Or programs where high school and college students can help exhibiting artists at local shows (i.e. PA Guild, Long's Park, and Mt Gretna)? I was in a program like that in Philly, and while it had problems, it still exposed students to what life as an artist can entail. Just some ideas off the top of my head.

I have to to say I'm kind of disappointed with the recipients of the Building Community Through the Arts Grant. The same old large organizations that get all the money. Wow what a change for the community!
